Single-step and Multiple Bioassay Based on Combinable Pdms Capillary (cpc) Sensor Array

چکیده
Combinable poly(dimethyl siloxane) (PDMS) capillary (CPC) sensor array allowing single step and multiple bioanalysis by simply introducing a sample solution by capillary action, followed by spontaneous mixing and reactions for fluorescence readout was developed. Since the CPC is fabricated by combining "Convex"-shaped PDMS plate immobilizing an insoluble membrane containing analytical reagents and "Concave"-shaped PDMS plate immobilizing a soluble membrane containing other kind of analytical reagents, it is very useful for designing various types of "single-step" bioassay. Here, enzyme inhibitor assay and glucose assay are presented as examples of single step assay. Furthermore, doping of PDMSpoly(ethyleneglycol) (PEG) copolymer into "concave"-shaped bulk PDMS gave fully hydrophilic surface, which solved the problems of capillary action-based sample introduction and homogeneous coating of highly hydrophilic PEG membrane on PDMS.

Integration of Neuraminidase Inhibitor Assay into Single Step Operation Using Combinable Pdms Capillary (cpc) Sensor
Neuraminidase inhibitor assay requiring complicated step-by-step operation was successfully integrated into ”Single-Step” by using CPC sensor. We developed a combinable PDMS capillary (CPC) sensor for enzyme inhibition assay using the concave and convex type PDMS substrates. In the conventional enzyme inhibitor assay, complicated analytical procedures, such as mixing and dissolution, are requir...
متن کاملOne-step Modification and Structuring of Pdms Surfaces and Its Application in the Bench-top Fabrication of Self-driven Microfluidic Channels
This work describes a one-step method for the chemical modification of polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) surfaces. Thin films of ionic and non-ionic surfactants were patterned into an array format, transferred onto silicone pre-polymers, and subsequently immobilized onto the PDMS surfaces during vulcanization. Our results show that while all surfactants tested can render PDMS surfaces hydrophilic thr...

Recently different approaches have been developed in the field of sensor fault diagnostics based on Auto-Associative Neural Network (AANN). In this paper we present a novel algorithm called Self reconstructing Auto-Associative Neural Network (S-AANN) which is able to detect and isolate single faulty sensor via reconstruction. We have also extended the algorithm to be applicable in multiple faul...

An immunoassay, which is an indispensable analytical method both in biological research and in medical fields was successfully integrated into a "single-step" by developing a microdevice composed of a graphene oxide (GO)-containing hydrogel and a poly (dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS) microchannel array with a polyethylene glycol (PEG) coating containing a fluorescently-labelled antibody. Here we used ...

Developing optimal flocking control procedure is an essential problem in mobile sensor networks (MSNs). Furthermore, finding the parameters such that the sensors can reach to the target in an appropriate time is an important issue. This paper offers an optimization approach based on metaheuristic methods for flocking control in MSNs to follow a target. We develop a non-differentiable optimizati...
